For those of you who don't know, the story of Cupid and Psyche is one of love.

The myth of Cupid and Psyche is about a beautiful young girl, Psyche, and how everyone thinks she's so beautiful that they start to ignore the temples of Venus herself. Venus is upset my this and tells her son Cupid to shoot Psyche with one of his arrows so that Psyche falls in love with a horrible beast. But Venus had shown Psyche to Cupid before he was to shoot her and he thought she was so beautiful that he didn't shoot her.

When no one asks Psyche to marry her her father goes to the temple of Apollo and askes what to do. Now instead of shooting Psyche and making her falling love with a horrible beast Cupid had gone to Apollo to help him Apollo told Psyche's father that they were to bring her out onto a rock and a horrible beast would come get her and marry her. Saddly Psyche's father, and two beautiful sisters do what Apollo had told them to do. After they leave a wind picks up Psyche and brings her to a wonderful palace and then she hears voices but doesn't see anyone. The voices tell her to take a bath in the palace and then there would be a meal ready for her. She wondered who her husband would be.

That night in her bed she heard him whisper in her ear. She never saw him though. Then Psyche wanted to see her sisters and they came. They wanted to know who her husband was but as she had promised she would only tell them that he was a young man away hunting. They got jealous and made up a plan to ruin her. They came again under her wishs and told her that he was really a serpent that would kill and devour her, and seeing that Psyche had never seen him she worried and her sisters told her to go at night with an oil lamp and dagger and see who or what he really was.

When she went to reveil him she saw that he wasn't a horibble creature but a beautiful man. while she was looking at him a drop of oil fell onto his shoulder and her woke up and fled outside. Psyche ran after and heard him tell her who he was and sadlly told her good-bye and fled to his mother.

When Venus found out that Cupid had chose Psyche she was angry but was even more angry when she found out that it was Psyche who had hurt Cupid. She went to find her. When she did she found Psyche sad and alone..wandering... She told her she could redeam herself if she compeleted a task... she did and Venus kept making her do all sorts of tasks. unpleased that she kept completeing them.

Mean while Cupids shoulder had healed and he was missing Psyche. He went to Jupiter (Zeus) and asked to have Psyche become a goddess and have them married. That ended happening and Venus finally was ok with Psyche because hes was a goddess too.
